Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This past Sunday, Teamsters Local 572’s Executive Board voted to endorse the Harris-Walz Presidential ticket. We made the decision to make an official endorsement and announcement because we believe it is important that you know we will always stand for the rights of Teamsters Local 572 members and all working people. We believe in the right to organize, the right to fair contracts, and the right to strike if necessary. We believe in our Teamsters Union and protecting all the amazing things we have fought for and won. We believe in having a leader who believes in the power of unions and that we contribute to the success of our country. We believe in Kamala Harris for President of the United States.

We reject Donald Trump’s views of working people and unions; and we are outraged by Trump’s interview with Elon Musk on X last week, where he praised Musk for firing workers who went on strike. Trump reminded us of who he is during that interview. He reminded us that he has no respect for working people or unions. He reminded us of the damage he caused to the National Labor Relations Board during his time as president. He reminded us that time and again, he has chosen the side of corporate America over the rights of workers and praised “Right to Work” which is designed to weaken unions.

We strongly urge you to VOTE for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. They are the only choice that will protect our rights as union members.
